lasagna for 25 people after kid's baptism

I was wondering too how you would prepare it OP while you are at the baptism. There is nothing wrong with it but it is not optimal if you don't have someone at home cooking while you are away at church.

There are easier things to make that could be in the crockpot while you are at church -- roast chicken, roast beef, brisket, meat loaf, etc. Or, as others have said you could have ham and turkey cut up and have people make sandwiches.

Where is "here"? And of course you serve it. You are typical American who has bastardized and debased a lovely cuisine. The "Italian" food you mention food is as Italian as General Tsao is Chinese. American heavy slop.


Italian-American food, when done properly, is quite good. A good red sauce is hard to come by, I agree, but it doesn't have to be slop.

Not everything has to be micro-regional Tuscan cuisine.

We know...there are just no Italian Americans in the area with culinary class, so all the restaurants they open are the same sloppy gooey crap.
