Men prefer overweight women to skinny ones says Google

That's not the same thing as "men prefer overweight women."

But nice try.

Exactly! The thread title is totally inaccurate depiction of what the article actually says.
I'm a man. I most definitely do NOT prefer an overweight woman, in fact that completely turns me off.
I don't know a single man who "prefers" overweight women.

This is true. I hang out with my dh and his friends a lot and they always make references to wanting to bed "chunky" women.

This. Size 8 does not translate to curvy or big just like plus size models at size 12-14 are not really "big".

8 is too large for me. DW is 4/6 just right.

With vanity sizing, 8 can definitely be curvy... tho I think that's a good thing.

Uh-huh. At Applebee's?

I used to weigh 115-120 at 5'5, now I'm at 130. The most attention I get is by FAR when I'm at 140-150. I never would have believed it if you told me this when I was really skinny. But compared to the attention I get now and when I'm heavier, I was practically invisible. I got way worse service, also! And less random help from men.

The amount of attention I got from men at 5'5 and 140 or so was unreal. I've been at several different weights and man, was that the sweet spot. *I* felt good too, which is what matters.

Little men may be overwhelmed by bigger ladies, but generally it's true. Average-tall men like some meat on the bone.

Black men like big white girls. They watch porn more than any other group and skewed the results.

This is true. Walk into any bar and chat up a group of ladies. The token fat one in the group is low hanging fruit to take home. Just he your friends don't see.

The author is speaking out of both sides of his mouth. He interprets searches for overweight porn as men's actual sexual preference, but he doesn't interpret women's searches for violent porn as being women's actual sexual preference.

In both cases, people are turned on by societal taboos, but that doesn't necessarily equal attraction.

As a man, my experience concurs with the article's message. I have never met a man who prefers skinny women - ever. Some prefer athletic, but most like "healthy". I think the word "overweight" is misused as most men use it synonymously with "obeise".

Personally, I keep myself in very athletic physical shape. But I absolutely lose it over a full-figured 135+ woman who carries herself with confidence. Swimsuit model types don't even come close. Trust me, I'm not that unusual.
