All Roseanne fans, let's meet at the Lobo and get a beer.

The rest of you are on lunch duty with Leon.

+1. Couldn't watch that show.

+2. Disgusting. John Goodman and George Clooney were the only bright spots in that horrid show.

What? Hahahahaa GC was so not a bright spot; his character was so out of place, I thought.

When I was young (I don't remember, definitely young adult, wayyyyy before I had a kid) I remember when the bartender said "You got Dan to babysit?" And Roseanne said "Babysit? They're his kids!" That was I think the first time I'd heard that concept verbalized. It was kind of salient for me.

Also, more recently, my friend liked to ask bartenders for Crystal's signature drink, a Pink Squirrel.

That episode aired right about the same time my peer group discovered pot.

Dan Connor--the perfect man. I'm totally serious.

Do you know how much work she had to put into him? Do you think he just came out of a box that way?

I really enjoyed Roseanne up until they started letting Mark's brother live with them. Up until then I loved the show. My favorite episodes:

1)Trouble with the Rubbles - where they have that up tight neighbor with the dishwasher Dan said couldnt be added to their own kitchen
2) The one where there is a dead salesman in the kitchen
3) The one where Roseanne teaches Darlene's Home Ec class
4) The one where Becky finds out there is no college fund and Dan loses the bike shop
I loved this show in it's sarcastic humor.

Remember the prissy neighbor kid that was friends with DJ and they got in trouble with the mom because the Conners called him Elijah Minnelli!? Lol

Oh another Roseanne line I still use to this day; when Roseanne and dan start flipping houses and their investor leaves town with their money.

Dan: We're screwed.
Roseanne: No Dan. We are so far past screwed the light from screwed will take 1 million light years to reach us.

Also, didn't George Clooney's character hit Jackie? Not exactly a "bright spot."

Wait, you didn't like David (Johnny Galecki)? I loved him! But I will say that I definitely didn't watch the last season and I may not have watched the penultimate season either--can't remember when David moved in.

LOL. I actually had a picture of John Goodman (as Dan) on my bulletin board in my college dorm room, LOL.

Two separate families: the prissy neighbor's son was Todd Bowman and he and DJ were actually friends ("It was nice DJ having a friend the rest of us could see.") They moved back to Chicago because the dad lost his job in Lanford, and also because the mom had to have the operation to take the giant stick out of her butt (haha). So many great lines from the episode where they got robbed by people pretending to be a charity pickup, and Roseanne went out and bought some of the stuff, not realizing they were stealing it. The dad told Dan his wife wanted to put up an electric fence...

Dan: They already got you once, they won't hit you again.
Dad: It's for Roseanne.
Dan: Electricity won't stop her. I've tried. Not much of a swimmer though, you might want to build a moat.

Elijah Minelli was Florence Henderson's son from when Roseanne joined the Lanford ladies' club or some kind of business group to make connections.

God I loved this show.
