Stride Rite - worth it?

I read someone describing Stride Rite shows as over built and clunky, it might've been on this forum, and I thought that that was an accurate description.

Deciding if overbuilt means quality is up to you.

We were at Tysons Corner about two or three weeks ago and was surprised to see that Stride Rite still open and looked like it had a lot of inventory. Everything was $14.99 or below. Not sure if it's still there.

I've seen Stride Rite shoes at Nordstrom Rack for about $25, maybe $30.
