Agreed. And I don't blame the MIL. Southern MIL's do not expect to hear about their son's sex life ever--let alone from his wife. I thought I would be on Monique's side when she was talking about her relationship with her MIL, but when I saw them interacting at the table, I was on the MIL's side. In one meal, Monique talked about her sex life, said she and her husband were not raised in the best homes and told her MIL to let her finish talking (even though MIL interrupted her). If you want to have a good relationship with an old school southern MIL, you shouldn't do any of those things!

Like there is no chance Gizelle isn't renting because what exactly is her income? Used to be married to a pastor I've never heard of from a family I've never heard of? Also, no one as wealthy as Karen claims to be would have that 20+ year old kitchen. Gag. Charisse is also on her way to being broke throwing an 80k birthday party when her soon to be ex-husband was getting fired at Rutgers. And Robyn's house, which was foreclosed, was also very obviously in Silver Spring.

The real housewives shows just aren't as fun when it is obvious that it is just a group of people living beyond their means (main reason I also never enjoyed RH of OC).

these are always my favorite posts. because you have never heard of him - he must be a nobody.

i am no fan, by far ,of jamal bryant and hell not even really religious but i've heard of the guy. i do agree w/all of the rest of this though. they have no real money and honestly i'm md born and raised and had to google hanover.

Just because you haven't heard of Hanover doesn't mean everybody else hasn't.

A little bit of your own medicine there, hmmm, PP?

No need to get snippy and I wasn't dispensing medicine.

Actually I had heard of Hanover before and thought it was near Columbia. I just didn't know exactly what part of Md. it was. Also a place not a person.

And she digs herself deeper and deeper and...

Omg. Monique at the tea party. No one dresses like that in DC!

I think she's going to be awesome on the show!

Really can't stand Charisse. Trying to look all carefree and hip - ugh. Why on earth aren't she and her husband divorced yet?

Heard thru the grapevine that her entire storyline is made up for the show.

What happened to my girl Katie -- now she had some crazy stuff going on with a messed up background.

What is Karen's storyline? That she's buying a house? She doesn't seem to really have anything going on. I do feel like her persona is made up. Sometimes when she talks about her daughter, she sounds really normal (e.g., Saying she needs to get her own life, since her daughter has done just that). I feel like her dramatics are made up for the cameras.

Really? I find her to be painfully insecure which always puts in attack mode. And the fake hair and overdone makeup and ghetto language.....she couldn't be more distasteful.

I caught last nights episode but haven't watched any prior. I did watch Season 1. I love how during karen's interview portion she says how she's very close to her son and then as the scene with them at lunch unfolds she asks him why she hasn't seen him in 2 months and he says he's been busy with work. I found the irony hysterical.

She's so fake.

Not the person you quoted but I agree about her hair and makeup. The wig is so ugly and the makeup is way overdone. I don't like the term "ghetto language" so I'm going to have to disagree with you about that.

PP here and I actually agree with you; she's vulgar and garish. But she still says some of the funniest things on the show.

The worst of all is Charisse, with her boobs constantly out on display and that horrible nasal voice. She is the epitome of insecure; always trying to appear so carefree and using her rap alter ego name (Shay shay?). And now her ridiculous "champagne tasting room." OMG, she's beyond pretentious.

I didn't realize there was that much money in college coaching. They obviously live a very carefree life.
