I am a Republican and I have absolute respect for Michelle. But I certainly don't try to adopt the poor behavior I dislike in others as a "payback" of sorts. That's puzzling to me.

I agree. From far away, the dress looked like a lily. But the close up shots it looks weird (like a paper cut out).

I'm also not blinded by my political bias and can see their beauty. Maybe those who can't aren't actually blind, they just feel like admitting it is somehow betraying their political views.
