There are plenty of Rockville neighborhoods outside to twin brook that are less than $750k:

Fallsmead
Fallswood
Rockshire
Horizon Hill
Potomac Woods
College Gardens
Orchard Ridge
Stratton
Falls Ridge

You can not find a decent single family home for a family of 5 for less than $750, especially going to Wootton. Maybe Richard Montgomery but that high school is not that good. The IB is good but the rest is, um no.

Why is the non RBIM HS not good?

The same reasons OP is trying to find a better school.

OP's school is 75% Hispanic and large numbers on free and reduced lunch 85%.

RM is 35% hispanic and 35% FARMS

I think OP is looking for better performing schools regardless of % of hispanics and FARMS.

Why do you think RM is not performing? Do you have children there? I don't, but I understand it to be quite a good school.

that's fine but I think RM is a better performing school and I have yet to hear why PP thinks otherwise.

Because if you take out magnet kids, RM doesn't perform well. Look at the avg SAT score w/o magnet kids for example and see how it compares with "low" performing MCPS schools.

I can't find disaggregated SAT data. But SAT scores are not everything. I guess if they are to you (or you OP) - then you need one of the W schools.

I agree. I didn't say it's "everything"... There are not too many measureable performance indicators to measure schools on a factual basis. While not perfect, avg SAT score is a good indicator.

Where is the stats for non IB SATs for RM students?

I look at the MSA test scores for the URM groups in RM, and they look pretty good. You really can't compare RM URM group to, say, Whitman's URM since the sampling size at Whitman is waaaay too small. So, the only thing I can think of that makes the first PP say RM IB is not a good school is that the "poor" population is too high for her liking.

Option 4: Write to the County Council. They need to understand how ANGRY we long suffering taxpayers are. It's the only thing they care about.

There is no disaggregated data, the poster you quoted is full of it

What would make you think the County Council cares about public opinion? It is not like a Republican challenger is ever going to have a chance in Moco.

Seconded.

Totally lacks diversity if you want you Hispanic children to grow up around all white people...who also btw, live in Olney to get away from Hispanic kids, much like yours.
