Can we talk about Melania Trump's outfit last night?

I think OP's point was not that the dress was inappropriate but that there would have been heavy criticism of Michelle for wearing anything like it.

Oh please, no one can criticize Dear Michelle, she is so idolized by most of you. I for one can't stand the fact that she has spent close to 100,000,000, yes that's million, dollars on family vacations on my tax payer dime while my family has to do stay cations. She is a F … queen who is laughing all the way to her next mansion at all of us taxpayers.

Source, please for the $100 million of taxpayer dollars on family vacations.

I also feel Michelle Obama could carry off that dress as well.

What is the point of this thread OP?

OP is crazy and supports HRC, so is looking for some random ways to criticize the Trumps.

+1. Melania looked lovely and there's nothing scandalous about the dress, but this wasn't a cocktail-dress occasion. Not that this would remotely affect my views on Trump.

Ivanka's outfit, with the mid-arm sleeves, pleats, light pink color and matching shoes, looked like something from a middle-school semi-formal.

Another +1. I liked Melania's dress and don't care about how much it costs, but it wasn't appropriate for the occasion. And am I remembering wrong, or did Ivanka's dress from last night look just like her convention speech dress?

p.s. Melania must be coming up in the world, because my autocorrect is no longer changing her name to Melanie.

You could do a face swap of her and the Donald and not notice any difference. It's those squinty little eyes.

The dress looked fine - she's a younger woman and it would look weird if she was in matronly skirt-suits.

"Younger women" wear skirt suits all the damn time. Let me guess, you don't work?

Lol, what a weirdo. Of course I work. Does your job involve reading? I said MATRONLY skirt suit.

Professional looking? I couldn't wear that to work. Who could wear that to work?

A hooker on formal day (as oppose to dress down Friday)?

She looked amazing and you B's are just scared to death you'll have to step up your game if she is the First Lady. But don't worry, I know most of you and you could not hold a candle to how gorgeous and refined Melania is, you've been too busy beating feminist qualities out of our daughters to compensate for your inner and outer ugliness.

+ a million.

She should have worn a skirt suit THAT WAS NOT MATRONLY, instead of a cocktail dress.

It's the Trump syndrome! You pull out numbers or gossip out of your an*s and no need to cite your source. All you have to say is, "believe me!"

Yes, it's a dress you might want to wear if you were out meeting your "client" at a fancy bar. I don't know any professional woman who would wear that kind of dress to look professional.

Possibly because, unlike most of you husband/men hating women, she has lived a life of continuous worry about some left wing nut job taking her husband's life, not to mention the security measures her ten year old must under. I was a wreck when the DC sniper thing was going on and police officer escorted each child from the school directly to the car, no playgrounds, etc. It takes a toll that's why I wonder why anyone would want to run for the office. I wish her well and taking care of her family.

My goodness, you must think Michelle and Hillary to have the most beautiful faces ever! Melania's lived this "life of worry" for about ten minutes, and no one cares about Donnie.

Actually HRC has never been attractive in my eyes, ever. She looks and acts like a screaming shrill. As for Michelle, its hard to tell between the botox and fillers. My goodness her cheeks are puffy these days, someone stop those injectibles, please!

Point missed. I expect no less from a Trump supporter.

Ehhh...her dress rides up a little high on her thighs, but if Melania had a jacket on, it would basically be the same look.

It may be appropriate, but I don't really think the dress with the jacket is flattering for anyone because you always end up looking a little frumpy. Reminds me of a "mother of the bride" kind of look.

But when you get dressed to attend a presidential debate, "sexy" is not the look you should be shooting for. It's a serious event--like work or church-- not a cocktail party. Pence' wife was the only one of the three to get that concept.

You obviously don't go to many receptions.

It shows.
