Where's Ivanka?

She's keeping her distance to pick up the pieces.

Publicized what they did.
Tactless, tasteless, and likely will result in Ivanka, and others, not frequenting their establishment.

And plenty more who agree with the store owners will buy from them. They don't need Ivanka.

Is it possible that some liberals will realize it is wrong for a business to publicly insult or humiliate their customers - or is it OK if they're Republicans? That store did a stupid and classless thing, and I hope their sales fall because of it.

I think so far it's Ivanka's sales that are falling.

Apparently not. They are thriving!

Ivanka’s appear to be thriving.

Her clothing line alone — a collection of mid-priced, work-appropriate dresses and skirts, mostly — did $100 million in revenues in the last fiscal year, according to G-iii, the $2.3 billion (market cap) apparel giant that manufactures and distributes Ivanka’s wares.

The company doesn’t include a breakdown of revenues by brand in its financial filings, but its 2016 annual report notes a $29.4 million increase in sales of Ivanka Trump’s fashion line from the year before.

No, that's for last year. Let's see what happens this year.

NP. It was just tacky as hell. It is, to use the vernacular, "thirsty." Send the letter to her privately, sure, but don't post it to your instagram account.

Why would it be necessary to even send it to her privately? It's the store's money and they can do as they please, but why a slap in the face to a customer?

They revealed the identity and items purchase by a private customer who did not give them permission to release that information publicly, and certainly no permission for them to use that information as marketing - and it certainly is marketing when you hashtag your post card and with the name of the product and then post it onto Instagram.

No worries, OP. Since Trump wants to date his daughter it's easy to get the two confused.

I am a Hillary supporter who finds everything about Trump to be offensive and the prospect of him as president frightens me. I admit I smiled when I saw the Ivanka jewelry purchase and subsequent donation article. Even with all that being said though, I think it was wrong, short-sighted, and deeply tacky for the jeweler to reveal that.

Wasn't Melania supposed speak out about the questions around her immigration status? One of Trump's lawyer was one Univision saying how she got her green card through marriage, but she got her card before she got married to Trump. So, there's some questions around when exactly she got her green card and how, and of course, whether she was eligible to work when she was here on a visa.

http://www.theweek.co.uk/us-election-2016/75118/melania-was-green-card-based-on-marriage-gained-before-meeting-donald-trump

on 8/12/16:

"Donald Trump's wife, Melania, will hold a news conference "over the next couple of weeks" to address questions over her immigration status, the US presidential candidate has promised...
"Let me tell you one thing - she has got it so documented so she's going to have a little news conference over the next couple of weeks," he added. "That's good. I love it. I love it.""

I hate Trump with a passion, and I agree with you completely. It was just unnecessary, and putting it on Instagram was a violation. It was a private purchase, and they should have addressed it privately. Send her a note if you wish, but no need to invite the world to read it. They are basically getting clicks based on her name.

I meant hate Donald Trump. I don't hate Ivanka.

Businesses do lots of dickish things. It really is the publicizing it that makes it tacky.

She's probably ashamed for faking a collge degree and plagiriizing MO. Or one can only hope she can feel remorse

SIT DOWN FOR THIS SHOCKER: Politicians all use the same buzzwords to try to garner your unthinking support.

Also, did you know that MOST OF THEM DON'T EVEN WRITE THEIR OWN SPEECHES?

And would you believe that WATER IS ACTUALLY WET?

Spin, spin, spin away. The Trump camp pretty much admitted the lines were lifted.

You think unhealthy Hillary has the time and patience and healthy mind to write her own speeches? They all have ghostwriters as does the Trump camp.

Hillary's preoccupied with avoiding her next fall until after the election, when she'll be in a wheelchair.

You forgot Benghaziiiiiiii!!!

My father had a stroke. Nurse taking care of him - her brother was there - told to stand down on the tarmac. Dad is much better, thank you

That would be news to the nine Congressional committees that have examined this exhaustively. Perhaps the nurse realized you were a bit batty snd wanted to placate you.

I have just one simple question : WHO gave the stand-down order?
