What is it with all the Angry Conservatives here?

Oh, the hypocrisy.
Jim Johnson? Anyone? Largest campign contributor to the BHObama campaign? Look him up.
Free speech for Rev. Wright, Bill Ayres, anyone else whose views are extremist and inflammatory! Free speech for anyone else--anyone with conservative views, or anyone who articulates the tenets of Christianity--no, it's not goint to happen.
Will ACLU stick up for me if I say I believe in the Lord's Prayer? The Bill of Rights? The freedom to murder thousands of people who are Not My Religion? AHA...
Wealth distribution--what could be better? Well, let's ask people about that...it's a GO!

Actually the ACLU will stick up for you if your freedom of speech is violated. Doesn't matter whether you're a right or left winger. They defended the Nazis' right to march through a Jewish neighborhood in Skokie. I'm sure they would defend your right to march through the most atheist neighborhood in DC while reciting the Lord's prayer. That's what they do.

But if you expect that you should have the freedom to say what you want to say and not be criticized (by someone exercising their right to free speech), well then you're just being a baby.

What are you responding to, the topic? Or are you just trying to prove that there really are angry conservatives?

I don't know how the ACLU came into this since it's not part of the government or the Democratic party, but the ACLU does a lot of support for right wing causes.

The ACLU provided support to Oliver North.

They filed a brief in support of Rush Limbaugh during his drug debacle in the interest of protecting medical records:

Here is where the ACLU and the Family Council came together to defend the right to breastfeed without fear of prosecution for indecency: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/179135/aclu_and_conservative_family_council.html?cat=9

Those are three examples among hundreds of thousands. The ACLU is a left-wing organization. There is no debate.

You asked if the ACLU will stand up for you. It will. As long as it does that, why do you care if it's left wing?

Well, that all depends. Do Conservatives believe the Bill of Rights is part of the Constitution? And not just the 2nd amendment and select parts of the first, but all ten? If so, then the ACLU is non-partisan. If not, then I guess it's a left-wing organization.

The ACLU defends civil liberties, for people they like and people they do not like. That takes integrity. Try it some time.

It's one thing to call yourself an American and another thing to stand up for American ideals.
