The moment I finished my request, my gaze fell on a cluster of trees. As I passed the trees a large billboard/sign emerged with the single word "Jesus" on it. I blurted out "oh my God you're here!" and at that precise moment, a truck switched lanes in front of me and on the back of that truck was the phrase "Rite on time" I was Atheist/agnostic back then. The experience was profound enough that it gives me pause now when ever I want to write off evil acts as proof there is no living God.

There are a lot of "Jesus" signs on the road -- especially in the south. and the "Rite on time" lettering on the truck sounds like an advertisement of some kind.

What if you had seen an "Allah" sign? Would you be a muslim now?

No, I would not. I read 3 different translation of Koran, and strongly advise you to do the same. And then, read the Bible. You will be able to see, or hear, god's words for yourself.

Tons of people prefer the Koran over the bible.

+1

I'm neither Christian nor Muslim, but that PP's attitude is why I honestly have a slight personal bias against Christians. Ugh.

Yeah, how dare someone prefer the moral teachings of one faith to another and, even worse, proclaim it publicly! Totally gauche.

We are in a sort of bible-study class together; I believe in God but I'm pretty unsure what I think about Jesus. So in this context, she mentioned this. And I absolutely believe that she did, or at least, that she believes she did. She's not saying it to impress me or because she got carried away with a story, in other words.

This sort of upsets me, however, because of course I would believe in Jesus if I saw him in a dream-like vision! And then there's the idea that many people have had such visions, but not me.

So, have YOU had a vision or something similar? If you haven't, on what basis do you believe in not just God, but Jesus? Like, if you feel a presence, why call it Jesus instead of just God?

I've been mulling this over and thought I would put it out there.

No visions or voices, but a few times I've received very clear messages about God's intentions for me. Not at all what I wanted to do and seemingly impossible. Once I said His Will be done, the path opened ahead straight and easy.

Jesus is God to me. As is the Holy Spirit and God the Father. I don't believe in "just" God the Father.

As a Trinity beiever, how do you know which member of the trinity is sending you a message?

Gauche? Try creepy and obnoxious. And by "proclaim" what you really mean is "shove your opinion down other people's throat". And by "prefer" you mean "expects others to have the same preference."

Don't kid yourself. Evangelicals are disgusting.
