Who is this, I like the dress?
|
We're about the same age. And that's where the similarities end. Even though I'm not a big fan of her movies, I've enjoyed following her, post-Cruise. |
|
Beyonce's makeup. NOPE!
|
^^ Oops, here it is.
|
Blue did it. |
I like it! The them is man vs machine so I get it (same with Kanye's contacts but his outfit is horrible). I am NOT a Kardashian fan but why can't anyone get them straight? It's Kendall not Kylie. She's the only decent/non trashy one of the clan. |
| So what was the official theme? |
| Wow, I found most of the dresses incredibly dull this year - usually the fashion is so over-the-top and spectacular. Only exception to this is Claire Dane's dress in the instagram link. And maybe Zoe Saldana's peacock dress. Think both Kendall and Karlie (Kloss) look like beautiful cyborgs so that's sort of fun and on theme. Agree with the OP that Emma Watson and Zendaya both look great - though not really seeing the "technology" tie in - and not really blown away. Beyoncé's dress is ugly but fundamentally interesting at least. The rest? Very underwhelming (and as stated, I usually love dress-watching this event.) |
| Solange's look makes me irrationally angry |
Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology |
So are you supposed to dress like you represent technology? |
Yes, your look should be tech-themed. Every year there is a new theme. Most of the time people just ignore the theme and wear whatever. |
As previously mentioned, Claire Danes had an amazing dress. Well-suited to the theme.
