I put the car seat in the regular cart basket and filled around it.
Or went to trader joes where they have actual baby seats with straps attached to some carts |
| Just put the groceries in the bottom of the stroller. I did that many many times. |
| I like a sling better than the Ergo for shopping trips. |
| Get a carrier you can faster easily. I have an ergo but also cannot easily get it on by myself. I use the britax carrier now and love it. I have an older child so generally baby is in the cart and he walks or I push him in a stroller and use the basket and carry the baby. The straps on the carts can help hold the baby up when he is able to sit better, I think I put the baby in the cart for the first time around 5 months? |
| Can you move back to the bucket seat? My kid was in it until 14mos so we never had to deal with the wobbliness you mention... also used the ergo or sling at early age. |
Your ergo is probably not adjusted properly. |
|
Stroller basket or tote bag for small things.
For lots of stuff, I used the carrier or I memorized stores that had carts that would fit my collapsed stroller on the bottom. |
| If you want to use the stroller, you can push it with one hand and pull the cart with your other hand. His is what I did when shopping some with my then-infant twins. Sure, you kind of look like a one-person parade, but its actually pretty easy once you get going. |
| I just used the stroller basket. For overflow I had one of those whole foods reusable totes that I could carry on my shoulder. |
I just put the ergo on after getting out of the car, put the insert on the seat of the car (close to the back), put the baby in the insert, pick up baby in the insert, and fasten the straps. Practice this at home before you try it at the car. |
