LAMB Enrollment Increase

I doubt that poster is a lamb parent mostly because this information has been known to lamb parents for weeks now and has been discussed to death. Most of us are over the topic and have either submitted a letter supporting the expansion, or have opted not to support it. Best of luck to you on the lottery if LAMB is hat you're looking for.

OP was trollin' and everyone fell for it! Best of luck to LAMB in its expansion and to parents who want a quality education for their kid in the city. LAMB is not and should not be the end all for everyone. Fix neighborhood schools please.

That was a troll.

I was the original poster and wasn't trolling. Just asking about the details and intent of the ceiling increase. It's impossible to favorably or unfavorably comment on something you know no details of.

Whatever, OP. Hope you got the jollies you were looking for.

My child, and several others in their elementary Montessori classroom have adapted beautifully, despite no previous Montessori experience. It might also be noted that their Montessori school is accredited, unlike LAMB.

I am not lessening Lamb's achievement, only pointing out that mean Montessori mom is not actually very correct.

Lamb is accredited, just not with AMI. There is no public school in DC that is accredited with ami. Some are seeking it. Mean Montessori mom was a troll.

Gem who wants to punish LAMB by opposing their ceiling increase was a troll.

Capitol Hill Montessori at Logan is AMI-associated, not certified. It's been seeking certification for years and years and has not achieved it.

Best of luck to LAMB's expansion request.

Predicting that if LAMB does add spaces after lottery results it will be the "big event" that affects waitlists this year. What I don't like is that the DCPCSB isn't voting on until after enrollment, so families will be enrolling and then disenrolling well into May and June. Hard for schools to plan.

If LAMB isn't at max enrollment then it doesn't need approval to add a class. The ceiling increase would be for increasing past the max. If they are adding a primary class this fall, that's great news to me!
