Holton wait list?

For those still waiting, have you heard anything from Holton since decisions came out? Have you been sending updated grades and awards and such? If so, are they responding with any encouragement?

Good luck to everyone on WL! Mine was on WL and got off and ended up being one of their top graduates ... went on to Ivy. That school is better than many colleges/universities.

Recent after break conversation, "No movement yet. If your daughter has another option prepare her for attending that option because they are restricted in the amount of students they can have on campus." As far as updating on grades, no, DD has all A's when she applied and still has all A's. Sending an update of transcripts seems irrelevant in our case. She is a strong candidate but no available space to place her.

Thanks. I have been hesitant to call and ask but have been emailing things like awards she received since applications closed. She has all A's but I sent the updated grades/comments anyways just in case. I am getting less hopeful as time goes on but my DD can reapply next year.

Yes, that is what they told us as well. Looks like we might be doing the same next year. Good luck to you. I hope both of our girls get in. I'm sure they would really take advantage of all there is at the school. Really wish you the best!

Same to you! We already have an older DD there so we know how great it is and will definitely be reapplying next year. I feel very confident that it will happen next year from what I have been told so I am making my peace with the fact that this year it wasn't meant to be.

While you never know what can happen, I would pursue the other options. If there's been no waitlist movement yet, it sounds like it will be highly unlikley for almost any grade, epecially 7th or 9th. Last year there was an incredibly strong yield and this year sounds no different.
