Just Oscar dresses / "looks"

Whose list?

I liked Cate Blanchett's dress.

Did anyone else think the neckline of Brie Larson's dress looked blurry? My eyes had a hard time focusing.

My guess is she needed them to read the teleprompter.

the red carpet this year was sooooo boring. No 360 degree camara, no asking who the designer is, and half the usual stars weren't even on the red carpet (no Clooney, Jen Lawrence, Sandra bullock, brad/angie, tilda swinton). And way too much time with that brutal E panel of Kris Jenner and Ashley Graham. Graham is pretty but that dress was pure Fredkericks of Hollywood trash and it didn't fit her properly. So awful.
Even Kate Winslet looked pretty. her dress made her look probably 20lbs heavier than she really is.

Yes. Very blurry. I thought it was my eyes at first! I would get dizzy looking at that for too long. Another "No!" for me I'm afraid.

I wasn't a fan of Ashley Graham's Klassy Peek-A-Boob dress either.

I thought she pulled that dress off nicely. Never everyone could do it. She did.

So she could read the card. Who cares. FFS, women can wear glasses.

I love that she wears only stuff that she can pull off. This one was beautiful.

Brie Larson's dress would have been great without the belt. I liked the filmy neckline but the heavy jeweled belt seemed to be fighting with the light floaty fabric of the dress.

I'm happy to see the bullshit of 'who are you wearing' go. Stop using women as advertising racks. If the dress looks good--leave it at that.

Arm sleeve tattooed carnival folk were out in force. So gross.

The " who are you wearing?" never meant anything to me anyway. Agree.

Jennifer Lawrence was there. She was nominated. I think Clooney, Brad & Angie only go when they are nominated.

You're right about Ashley Graham's dress. I think she's beautiful but that was a terrible choice.

On Ashley Graham, maybe someone pretty flat-chested could have pulled off that dress without it looking like their dress was ripped open in the front. But it didn't work on her - all you noticed was her bra area. I could barely pull my eyes up to her face (and I'm female).

I liked Brie Larson's dress. The gauze edging did make it look blurry. Probably not like that in real life though.
