Food Regrets Snowzilla Edition

I just threw away some veggies that I bought impulsively that were already past their prime and didn't get cooked this weekend.

Freeze the pork!

I tried to make all my baked goods with some kind of vegetable or "healthy" ingredient in them so I don't feel so bad when my kids and I eat them all day long - oatmeal chocolate chip cookies; chocolate zucchini cake; pumpkin cake. I'm also 8 months pregnant so I figure if I can't spend this time drinking too much wine, at least I can eat too much cake.

Dinner last night at Buffalo Wild Wings. Fried salt-fest! Kids had fun though so I guess it was worth it.

I had this intense + weird craving for potato lakes (I'm not Jewish but my dad was). I grated 8 potatoes and made them in a frying pan with olive oil and salt. They were delicious. I ate 6 and my DH got 2. LOVED THEM. we don't usually even have potatoes and eggs, but we happened to and I made them. Better than they sell even in NYC!

Curious on a wine count for folks, three/four days in. How much does "a lot" mean?

I'll be working through bottle 4 this afternoon....after taking the kids out again, so that's ok right?

For us, two adults sharing a bottle per day - plus the occasional beer or spiked hot cider - is more than normal, but not what I would call excessive.

I also thought I'd be able to make it to the store by now, so I regret not buying more food/planning more meals. I've eaten more peanut butter or grilled cheese sandwiches than I would have liked (thanks to having to telework instead of kicking back, and not enough easy prep foods). I also wish I hadn't eaten so many of the peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies I made. I had one with my coffee every day (in addition to snacking on them with lunch, dinner and throughout the day) and now they are all gone. Womp womp.

I regret not remembering that I had peanut butter cookie dough in the freezer until today!

I also regret that I bought a 3 pack of Udi's GF personal pizzas. It was terrible. Freschetta is so much better.

In my case, it's more that I learned I'm not a great cook when it comes to comfort food type things. I can make a lot of things, but I need to get better at casseroles and baking--or my oven is broken since everything burns or bakes unevenly.

Don't count, man. Counting is so OCD.... Hmm time to open the next bottle.

Crock pot cocoa that some PP posted on the other thread. So unhealthy. And I drank tons of it.

We opened some of the bottles of odd alcohol that we got for Christmas. American Honey is disgusting.
