When your Thanksgiving contribution is dinner rolls

OP you are being tortured. Follow this poster's advice or order them from a local bakery and pick up the day before.

King's Hawaiian is the brand in the orange bag. They are prebaked and can be served at room temperature. The original rolls are sweet, as are the honey wheat variety. The savory butter variety, however, tastes like a traditional roll. For Thanksgiving I like to get one sweet package and one savory butter. So much better than brown and serve.

Would you be allowed to put baked rolls, wrapped in foil, in the oven? Just to warm up while everything else gets finished and dished up?

If you're near Wegman's, their store brand dinner rolls (white or wheat) are really tasty. They come in a package like the Kings Hawaiian Rolls, but they're not sweet. They can be bought a day or two in advance and don't require any warming.

... does that mean your family basically thinks you're kind of a bad cook?

... is there a way to cook them in your car while you make the 2 hour drive to your parents' house?

... is that more or less prestigious than bringing the cranberry sauce?

Funny. We do meal assignments by lottery. Last year I did the turkey.

LOL!
