Would you leave your dog tied up outside for a few minutes while you went to coffee shop or pharmacy

No! Someone will take him or hurt him

Depends on the neighborhood, I do leave my dog outside in Bethesda on Bethesda Avenue if the line is short.

No. Someone will steal your dog and use it for bait in dog fighting. Sickos in the world.

Would you leave your purse outside a store. No. Why would you even think to leave your dog. You do know there are criminal everywhere looking for opportunities to take anything including dogs. We don't live in la la land.

When I was a teen, I would have done this. Nowadays, no I would not. Between someone stealing it, reporting it, or the dog snapping or biting and me being sued, nope, not anymore. Sad.

No way! Is it a small dog? My local coffee shop lets me bring my little guy in (held) while I get to go coffee.

I had a situation where I had to pick up a prescription. I walked with my black lab, who is the sweetest thing, down to the Walgreens. I know I can't bring her into the store, but if I tie her up she's liable to get stolen.

So I asked this rather overweight "Dad Bod" type, with his two young children in tow, if he would be so kind as to pick up my prescription for me.

He said "no", that he would not be so kind. Some example he sets for his children. He said that if I can't figure out what to do with my dog, that I should leave it at home when I run errands. Although that's the only time I can get out and give my dog the exercise she deserves--something this guy could USE a LOT of.

This isn't real, right? Please tell me that this isn't real.

I would also be afraid someone would steal my dog.

Please don't say your dog wouldn't bite. You have no idea.

You do understand that it's a very weird request to ask a stranger to get your prescription for you. I'd also say no. It's just too odd. It would be more common to ask him to keep an eye on your friendly dog while you step into the store for a minute. And what does the shape of his body have to do with it?!
