What would be your "Last Meal"?

French toast with real maple syrup
warm krispy kreme donuts
Clam Chowder with oyster crackers
Cheesesteak and cheese pizza from my favorite childhood pizza joint
Warm baguette dipped in olive oil, garlic, s&p
Toll House chocolate chip cookies
washed down with REAL BEER

God, how I could go on....

Try these baguettes:

I got them once at Lilit Cafe. Not sure if they carry them still. Lilit also has some GF beer which is quite tasty.

- Bloody Mary
- chocolate cream pie

Serious question...let's say I'm deathly allergic to a certain food, like peanuts. I might order an all peanut meal and die on my own terms! What if the criminal never disclosed this fact on med recs?

John Waters, the genius!, said he would order "a single leaf of lettuce" just to mess with the guards. LOL

They would already know, because they certainly process peanuts in the kitchen. If you were deathly allergic, you'd already be dead.

Sweet tea.

That is all.

Khargosh safeda (Rabbit in white sauce) with laccha parantha (flaky fried indian bread dotted with sesame seeds and kalonji).

Washed down with masaledar nimbu shikanji.

Phirni with kewda essence, garnished with slivered almonds and green raisins.

I will need to have this meal in another country though. Rasika continues to be uninspiring to discerning Indian palates.

Sounds amazing. Any Indian restaurants you *do* recommend, in the U.S. or not? I've only had transcendent stuff in home kitchens...

Hey PPs. I'm Indian and also uninspired by most restaurant offerings here. Have heard good things about Junoon (NYC) though.
Also heard that Indian Accent (which is a restaurant in Delhi getting rave reviews for its modern Indian approach) is opening soon in NYC too. I will post back if I get to try either of them!

Champagne and passed appetizers like baby lamb chops, sushi, macaroni and cheese on a stick, and lots of cheesy things baked in puff pastry. Then I want the chocolate fountain with Oreos, strawberries, and Rice Krispie treats.

Let's finish it off with French toast and a ny bagel and cheese and nova lox.

Done and done.

100% would be a hodgepodge meal with my husband's family in burgundy. It would start with great salad simply dressed And grown by one of his cousins. Then we'd have the most unbelievable dish of mussels my husband makes and tons of baguette to sop up every drop of juice. This would be accompanied by a flight of 6 different years of eschezeaux made by his cousin and her husband. We'd eat under the moon and I could die happy.

I would want to start with a small plate of homemade pasta with truffle butter sauce and shaved black truffles on top.

Then I'd want a 1.5lb butter poached lobster with a side of plain steamed corn on the cob and a small side of plain steamed broccoli.

I'd probably drink a few fine high end vodka martinis with these courses, ice cold and no vermouth because why would I care about food and wine pairings then?

For dessert, I'd want a good slice of proper Maine blueberry pie. With ice cold water to drink.

Then, because it would't really matter if I overate, I'd finish with an Époisses cheese and after a glass of Amaro (Luxardo) or a Fernet Blanc. I probably wouldn't have them together. I'd finish with the booze, for sure.

Pollo a la brasa with yucca and extra white and green sauce.

I never realized how much I love food until I started reading this thread. YUM.

I'd start with a gin and tonic, and nosh on manchego cheese and olives.
Then from scratch gnocci in a pesto sauce topped with freshly shaved parm-regg cheese, and a good glass of red wine. Caesar salad on the side - the minimalist kind served at Pete's Pizza.
Dessert - this would be so hard to narrow the choices - prob lemon merengue pie or almond petit fours, with a cappuccino made with full fat milk.

Whatever I pick, I want it laced with loads of Aconite so I can die on my own terms.

I would smoke a cigarette (or as many cigarettes as I wanted - it may only be a puff though). Eat Fish and chips. Pizza. Drink beer/wine/vodka tonics. So when the time came...I would feel so miserable that I would be ready to go.
