I think you could make an amazing school with just Arabic.

Arabic immersion or an intensive Arabic class?

A technology focus would be better.

How about a RRR focus?

nope - in the next 5-10 years, as research starts to emerge about the effects of technology on developing brains, there will be a huge backlash by middle-class parents against educational technology and teaching tech skills before high school.

yes, very true. Work on getting funding for cheap before and aftercare, make sure you have a solid program, and you are golden.

Curious as to why Spanish isn't mentioned once here. Lots of discussion regarding Arabic (290 million speakers) and Amharic (with only 22 million native speakers in the world!), but nothing regarding Spanish (410 million native speakers). Any reason why?

Just because there are a lot already doesn't mean it's a bad idea. Japanese? Total waste of time. Portuguese? Where is the community that can help support this? Where are you going to find a ton of Portuguese speakers? Also what type of Portuguese? European or Latin American? Do you really think Arabic will be a useful language in 20 years when the oil is gone from the Middle East? I don't. I'd rather have a useful language. It's not my problem that other schools are teaching Spanish already.
