Could be a urinary tract infection. My DD got one at 9, she completely freaked out thinking it was her period. It wasn't. She wasn't developed whatsoever. Got it at almost 14.

I know this is an old thread. My ped told me this. DD is 4 and has very slight pubic hair already. She said that the growth hormones that we eat in all dairy products are mainly to blame. We switched to almond milk only as far as milk goes and organic for all other dairy. Im trying to hold off everything else as long as possible.

You need a new pediatrician. Armpit hair (along with pubic) is controlled by the adrenal gland and can begin years before puberty starts.

Breast buds are a sign of puberty, not armpit/pubic hair.

Scary your pediatrician doesn't know that.

This is also a misguided pediatrician. You should really find a new one.
