| Raina is fine. Not sure how pronounced but looks ok. |
|
Raina sounds middle eastern, in fact the Rainas I know are Arabs/Muslims.
Love Rania though. And if we're talking regal east Asian names, Noor is beautiful too. |
| Raina is gorgeous. Love it |
|
I know 3 Indian girls and women named Raina, on 11, one 30, and another grown up Raina (don't know her age)--love it. It's a great name, easy to say, I haven't seen any of these three Rainas have problems with mispronouncing.
It's definitely an Indian name. It's Eastern European as well. |
| I know several Latina Reina's. |
| Beautiful name. We had considered it for our daughter (East European descent) |
| I like the name a lot. I'm not sure if you would say it "Ra-yina" or "Rain-a". |
You pronounce it like you would pronounce rain. |
|
Those of you who says it sounds Middle Eastern. As you sure you are not thinking of Rania as in the Queen of Jordan.
|
| It's already been established it is a somewhat universal name. I know an Indian girl with it, 2 Latinas (one spelled Reina), and a white girl. It's not very common and it's beautiful. Who cares? |
i guess you've never heard of Mira Nair? |
| I love this name for a girl too-- but we know too many people with this as a last name. My half Indian niece is Anya. Love both names - good luck! |
| I like the name. FWIW Rayna is the main character on the show Nashville, played by Connie Britton. |
