What's depressing is that there doesn't seem to be many options for my kids (who are good students but not top). I'd like for them to go instate for the lower tuition, but if UVA is out, then what other options do they have? Wm & Mary may be a decent shot for them but Wm & Mary, while it has a solid reputation in Va, really doesn't seem to have any national recognition at all. I've lived in different major cities of the country, and it seems to be even less recognized than Va Tech, maybe because Va Tech gets some recognition for its engineering or football? And now people are saying it's the state's safety school?

What's depressing is that you are either sock puppeting or basing your views on the nonsense that gets posted here. Hopefully, your kids, even if they are not top students, have more common sense than you do.
