White Women: the Global Standard of Beauty?

Some evolutionary biologists think that the variety of white women's physical appearance arose because of really intense natural selection competition, augmented by the conditions of a cold climate where women really needed men to survive the harsh winters, unlike more clement environments where your beaus could come and go, no big deal. They think that certain women experienced great reproductive success based on their exotic looks, and this spread those exotic looks across the continent of Europe. Losers did not get represented in subsequent generations.

So, you or this biologist are saying that only white women have a variety of physical appearances within the race? All Asian women look alike.. all black women look alike, etc..? So, there are no variations among those women?

+1. I agree, sometimes I think black women LOVE to repeat this, even though it's not universally true. If I look around my office of about 100 people, I actually think the white women look better, and believe me, they're not doing plastic surgery. It's not just about wrinkles, it's about skin tone, bone structure, many other thing.

Not much is universally true when it comes to beauty, and that's why OP's post is dumb, and that's why people are posting also dumb-non-universally true comments. It's to make a point to OP.

I read plenty of people mentioning white women tanning, but couldn't find anybody saying why many people are wearing long sleeves in summer, sunscreen or even umbrellas not to get darker.
I don't wan to get darker nor do I clap my hands when I get lighter in winter time. Want my skin left aloe and nose and butt and how I age.

Beauty does come in every skin type, however desire for lighter skin is common world wide. This desire is why skin lighteners and eye/nose surgeries are popular in Asia, it's why hair straighteners are used by so many African American women and why the beauty industry in Latin America excludes many beautiful darker skinned women.

According to the entertainment thread on Princess Charlotte, only all white and black children look alike. So, to clarify, I'm not supposed to know the difference between my white child and one of her white girlfriends.
