if your successful husband does cocaine when you have kids, talk to me about this-

Right. And that is my point / question. How do spouses deal with the time and resources this habit, however occasional, absorbs?

Do they just not know?

I would be pissed.

BTW, this is OP. I wanted to hear from spouses. But I get it. They are either too embarrassed or don't know. I am guessing most of them SAHM and are the default parent which leaves room for this type of behavior more so than a dual income household. I just can't really wrap my mind around the family dynamics when daddy comes home all coked up.

I also don't believe that many successful professionals do this. This allows pp to minimize how out of line the behavior is.

I work under 4 guys who all make between 250-400k who are recreational cocaine users. Only one can't keep it in check.

what age? what industry?????

I can imagine a few industries leading to immaturity after hours and that allow for this type of behavior, but not many.

Most ppl are only exposed to that crap in college or grad school. It's highly unusual for an adult, let alone parent.

Maybe your DH needs new friends at work. I am SURE his click is the drug click, and he can switch to the non-drug click. He just has to decide to do it. Time to grow up. I'm guessing he's over 30. party time over. Grow up.
