I work under 4 guys who all make between 250-400k who are recreational cocaine users. Only one can't keep it in check. |
| Yeah, we knew a bunch of very well to do guys that did this. They seemed to slow down once their families for going. I was very stern with DH if he were going out with them. |

You run out of money, you neglect your spouse and kids, you do more and more, you cheat, you go through withdrawal and sometimes your heart explodes.
But ya know, as long as the druggie gets to do what they want, f everyone else.

I do-- I knew a group of guys who would do it, and many continued after they became parents. However, one of them developed a serious addiction and ended up divorced and filing bankruptcy, and that sort of broke up the party.
Personally, I wouldn't stand for it from my DH. The risks of legal trouble and overdose are unacceptable, and we couldn't afford it financially. I just don't see the need-- drink a beer. |
| Addiction is a horrible thing to deal with. Best of luck OP - I hope yall can get it straightened out. |
| Say what you will about cocaine, but I would *definitely* divorce these nitwits who can't read and process a simple paragraph of English. |
Right?? |
| I wouldn't stand for that. Divorce city. |

Know of women who have stayed with husbands who've done far, far worse! |

I thought most rock stars who are still alive today cleaned up their acts and stopped snorting coke? Must be the crowd he runs in.
I was at a kid birthday party once given by a middle school vice principal in a top ranked suburban school district. After everyone had left, she and her husband pulled out the pot smoking bong. I left. I have never smoked pot or tried drugs even recreationally, but lots of people think it is their right, whether illegal or not. And I was one of those popular trusted cool kids, so I was always at the party. |
| Anyone who does coke has a problem |
You leave before any of this pot, cocaine, etc happens but you "know" the signs. You do realize how stupid your statement sounds, right? If you didn't see it you don't know whether it happened or not. And for the record, NO I do not think that solidly successful business people engage in that kind of crap. |
| I know a handful of higher level govt workers who do cocaine. It's also totally rampant in the restaurant industry here, but that's somehow less shocking than doing a line in your office with the door closed before heading out to a meeting. |
