I am a happily married wife # 1, and I concur with what most of these men are saying. For men sex feeds the love and for women love feeds the sex. Our marriage is great for many reasons but I also think that our compatibility in the bedroom plays a huge role. We both are high libido people and sex connects us as a couple. Outside of the bedroom, very often we are busy being a parent, spouse, friend, worker etc., it is only in the bedroom that you have the opportunity to be passionate lovers. |
No, she's our primary breadwinner. We both have professional careers but she earns 2-3x what I do depending on the year. We do have only one child. |

Being able to talk and understand each other is important, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's *far* more important than sex. If I had to bet, I'd bet that there are more miserable marriages featuring plenty of communication and no sex than miserable marriages featuring plenty of sex and no communication. |
