Great skin? A good workout routine?

I'm guessing something Tory Burch.

And if you have a nice body, no man will complain if you wear yoga pants.

Another dad here. Yoga pants are awesome.

If you're attractive, wear less makeup.

Silly men, women dress to impress other women not men

Don't care what the reason is. We're still going to look.

I'm on the bigger side and North Face just doesn't look good on me. I have a burberry quilted jacket and a jcrew cocoon coat. Both classic and stylish. Also, Longchamp tote is for teenagers. I love the LV Neverfull. In addition to the boots, you need a nice pair of ballet flats. My personal fave is Ferragamo MyJoy.

My thought as well. I say this not to be snarky, but in complete honesty - I did not know adults still thought this way. Even my college kids are past the idea that they must look like all of their friends in order to be accepted.

Buy what looks good on you and what you can afford.

True, but your opinion doesn't matter in this debate

Retinol-A scarred cheeks, greenish-white, chlorine damaged hair, ray-bans, wind blasted, leathery legs, gold charm bracelet, gold signet ring, band-aids covering cancerous mole removals, tennis visor, tennis skirt, mules optional.

Funny, if I see people wearing something specific, I deliberately don't buy an item like that ... it would feel like copying them. I look for things that are a bit different ... don't be afraid, OP!

My go to look is: my Burberry Brit, my Tory Burch tall boots, my Prada bag, my blonde hair in a ponytail (sometimes I'm relaxed-- Tory Burch flats) and my black Mercedes suv. This is MY LOOK -- if everyone else wants to copy it they are just poseurs.

x2. I wear my yoga pants all the damn time and I dont know if I have a great body but I do know men like to leer at my ass. And to be frank I could give two fucks. It's annoying but I'm certainly not going to run home and change because of some creeper dads. Contrary to what some men think, their opinion or experience DOES NOT override the female one.

This is true. Otherwise, you'll be made fun of.

No. The North Face is so out, but they don't know it yet. Try Arc'teryx, Bogner-Fire+Ice or Canada Goose

We're talking about the DC area here- fashion trends need to be on a 5 year time lapse from other major cities. Sad but true! North Face is still in here, and I'm guessing it will be for a while. Sad consequence of a city full of policy wonks is you lose all fashion sense...

x2.

This is pathetic. Really? I just went looking for a winter coat recently and felt like a sell out for buying NF, even though it was the only one I liked. No way I'd jump to the latest trend because you say it's cool. You know what sucks - Uggs. I refuse to buy those yet plenty of adults wear them and I'd consider them a kids brand. So, bottom line, don't look for the brand. Get the coat you like!

Hey I just googled this brand. Their coats are nice! Why are they so expensive?

OP, check out Uniqlo for a jacket. Less expensive than North Face.

I thought OP was posting in jest. UFB there are grown up women who think this way...
