Parental phone calls

Few times a week. My dad is absolutely terrible at calling so it gets to be more like 1 time a week because I always have to call and I have a little one at home!

I am glad someone posted this thread. I talk to my mom a couple of times a year and to my dad a couple of times of year. I always am the one calling. It makes me really sad. My parents are the same way with my older brother too. They are simply not interested in us or our families.

I am going to work very hard to be different with my children.

My mom - at least once a week, usually more, plus a few emails about various things.

My dad - once every few weeks, usually short calls. Neither of us are phone people, so we're both ready to get off the phone after a few minutes.

DH talks to his dad maybe once or twice per year. DH talks to my parents more than he talks to his own father. His mother passed away years ago, sadly, as I know he had a better relationship with her.
