It's not a "kreeative" name if it's the legitimate spelling of a name in another language. It may be misspelled, but it's not made-up. Amalia is a name in German (Freud's mother was named Amalia), Portugese, Italian, Sweden, Spanish, etc. That said, it may be more likely to be misspelled because it is close to a better-known name, Amelia.


I didn't say it was a kreeativ name. I said I know, due to my own name, that people are thrown off by unusual spellings, unusual names spelled similarly to common names, etc.

OP here- thanks everyone for all the input. I really appreciate you taking the time to offer your two cents (even if you found my list bleh). We are still on the fence but it was good to have some of our favorites validated! Thanks again.
