What do you think of these names for baby girl?

DH and I are having the hardest time agreeing on a name. Maybe a bunch of strangers with good taste can help. Here is our short list:

Josephine
Juliet
Simone
Lana
Amelia
Amalia
Alexandra
Annemarie
Fiona

Thanks for your honest feedback! And if I know this bunch, it will be honest

I like Amelia and Fiona best of the bunch. Not much a fan of the list--Josephine and Juliet both seem contrived, unless there is a family connection.

I like Simone and Fiona.

Amelia. I like Fiona but then I automatically think about Shrek.

I like Josephine with nn Josie.
I also like Juliet.
Hate Fiona.

OP more info might be helpful, like what letter your last name starts with, what origin of last name, and do you have other children/what are their names?

Assessment of your list:
Josephine - like
Juliet - not super into this one
Simone - like
Lana - like
Amelia - overdone, but like
Amalia - dislike
Alexandra - like
Annemarie - dislike
Fiona - like

Of all the likes my favorites are Lana and Alexandra.

Fiona then Alexandra. The others suck and/or are too popular.

I like Josephine, Juliet, Simone, Amelia, Alexandra, and Fiona. I like Anne Marie if if is a double name or hyphenated. I think Lana and Amalia are bad.

Josephine--Josie is actually kind of trendy lately
Juliet--cute, would spell it Juliette
Simone--nice, elegant
Lana---nice, old fashioned elegant
Amelia--overdone lately, not great
Amalia--strange, misspelling of Amelia?
Alexandra--OK, nothing particularly interesting
Annemarie--old lady
Fiona--ok, are you Irish?

You asked for it OP....I like Lana the best, not a name you hear a lot lately (I work in an Elem. School). Simone and Juliette are winners too.

Amalia is not a misspelling of Amelia. It's a Spanish name, I know two Spanish women (not Latino) named Amalia.

Love Amelia and Simone. Hate Fiona. Amalia and Juliet (Juliette?) are ok.

If you are asking for advice about where to find a bunch of strangers with good taste, my advice is: not on DCUM.

It's a good place to ask for advice if you want to hear that a girl's name is "trashy" or "stripper", though.
