Copying rental DVDs ?

I don't see what the big deal is about copying rental DVDs; I mean, I understand the intellectual arguments in favor of refraining, but I can honestly say that we would not spend money on DVDs regardless, and 99% of the copies we make never get watched, so the artists and producers aren't losing any revenue. But then, I guess I don't have a "strong moral compass."
