Another Wedding Question: how much does it cost?

OP, I would give $100 minimum per person for a Ritz Carlton wedding, or something very nice off of the registry. The cost is probably around $150pp.

For a wedding at the Ritz, which when I looked almost 20 years ago was about $200/pp jsut for food/drinks, I'd give no less than $250 unless you really can't afford it.
An entire wedding for that many people at the Ritz is most likely in the $75-$100k range. You can go crazy with the flowers, linens and lighting though. It cousk also easily he many times that.

My parents' hometown is Williamsburg and I will probably want to get married there - I am curious where your venue was? Certainly not the Williamsburg Inn for $15k total.

We got married at a ballroom in DC - all the usual stuff- open bar, catered dinner, photographer, dj, etc etc. cost us $30k for 125 guests.

I got married at a really nice hotel in another city (like a Ritz) in 2010, it was an indian wedding so pretty extravagant. It was 80k. But this was 4 years ago. It is probably a little more now.

The $30 - $100k swing for a DC hotel wedding I don't get.
