Yeah, as a native New Hampshirite, I disagree with the statement that New Englanders don't do freshwater. Yes, the ocean is great, but growing up we also went to lakes all the time because they were closer. I learned to swim in a lake near my house and my friend's grandmother had a house on a lake that we went to all the time. Many of my friends had houses on Lake Winnepesaukee which was about an hour away - no one I knew had a house at the beach. |
