Best Maryland MVA location for driver's test?

If you teach your kids how to drive properly, perhaps searching for an "easier" test wouldn't be an issue.

Three of my co-workers kids failed the test at least twice. I was very surprised since I don't remember ANY of my friends failing it 25+ years ago. I assume the test is harder which is a good thing. Anyway, my son was stressed about it (maybe due to my work stories) and wanted to run through a practice test. Note that he had his permit for over a year and drove both parents around constantly. His friend gave him the Westminster route which he filmed with a dash cam. Since the youtube comments were positive, he filmed the other routes in the central Maryland area - see below. The routes do change slightly based on the instructor but as you will see in the videos, the routes are pretty straight forward. You drive less than 5 miles, make 4 or 5 turns and that's it. BTW, he passed on the first try without any issues.

Hope this helps...good luck.

I don't know anyone who has taken their child to another location because the test is easier somewhere else; usually it's a matter of having a shorter wait time (and usually nicer staff) at the more distant locations.

This is a really old thread but I though it was worth noting that Maryland has removed parallel parking from their driving test.

Tip for anyone looking to schedule/reschedule an appointment. The typical appointment lead time is about 2 months. However, you can refresh the MVA appointment site throughout the day and usually find an open slot much faster. The reason is that people cancel appointments and slots open back up. It's time consuming but it does work if you need a quicker turnaround. Also, as the person above said/showed, the test are similar so be open to other locations.

Cumberland is a hell of an easy if you can drive on mountain roads with no guardrails.

Yea my friends cousin said that they were ok until he didn't make a head check when changing lanes. They made him pull over and he failed and they beat the hell out of him.
