do women like men with long hair

I don't like it. Unfair, but most men I know who wear their hair long are losing their hair or fear losing their hair.
My unfair bias is getting me back because my son wears his hair long! Ugh.

Saw a middle aged black dude today who had his thinning hair in long dreads. There were huge thinning patches between the dreads. Terrible. Just terrible.

I'm sure it took forever to grow that out, but the time for it was clearly over.

You better be taking care of that mess. Guys don't condition it or get it styled or style it at home. They usually end up with lots of broken ends pulled back in a pony tail holder like an exhausted new mom. Just terrible.

The same hair stylist does both of our hair. We get back-to-back appointments every 8 weeks together. She and our stylist have plenty of input in how I care for my hair. I shampoo and condition my hair every other day (my hair can't handle washing more than that).

Additionally, I wear a pony tail in the back, but the front and sides are shorter and groomed. When I braid my hair, it looks like I have a pretty standard cut. I performed in community theater for years and I frequently braided my hair and pinned it inside my shirt for performances. I often had friends and acquaintances come up after the show and ask if I had cut my hair. I'm fairly well groomed.
