I might want to sell a Kenmont membership this summer or next summer more likely. How do you sell it?
Is it just for the initiation fee? I guess there is a transfer fee too for the admin of it. |

Personally, I think it's unfortunate that Rock Creek (and Kenmont apparently) allow full shares that can be sold directly. It means you can have people leap frog you constantly. Rich old people must be making the rules up over there. Other pools give some priority to those living within a couple of blocks because they are inconvenienced by all the parking on their street that happens for swim meets but not RC. Good to know about all the pools that don't have wait lists but it looks like all the inside the beltway locations are too hard to get into. That sucks for your kids who might be interested in joining the swim team. By the time you get off the wait list they might feel like it's too late to join the team.

I belong to Bellair. Love it. Huge pool, incredible baby pool, competitive swim team, ridiculous snack bar that is run by the owner of Harp and Fiddle in Bethesda (they serve things like short rib shepherd pie as a special, chicken Caesar salads, etc). However, while it is a private pool, it isn't a neighborhood pool, so people are from Kensington, Rockville, Wheaton and silver spring. No wait list. I think family membership is $660/year and maybe $800 initiation fee. It gets super crowded on the big summer weekend, but overall it isn't too bad. |
