I'm inbounds for Thomson, although my child is at a different school, and would love to hear your reasoning for it being first choice as I haven't kept up as much as I would have wanted to over the past few years.

I like the International Baccalaureate model and the option of Mandarin. I like the convenience. The tour I went on felt right. I love driving past it daily and seeing the intergenerational Chinatown families mixing with the "new" downtown families.

"Downtown" and Thomson inboundary proper is changing dramatically. I think we'll be hearing more about Thomson, and I hope to be a part of it.

I put it high on my list and will be pleased if we are given the opportunity.

Ok, I'll caveat, #1 school that isn't filled with inboundary siblings that I have an iota of a chance of getting in, coming from a terrible inbound situation.
That sounds great but really...#1?

reminder folks that this is all just abou a school and that any school, whether you get it for "free" or for "fee" will alternate madden you and intoxicate you. Your child will love it one month and hate it the next, and Then back again. And your home environment and your level of stress will be the ultimate arbiters of your child's experience of childhood. If you want to stay in the community you currently live in then find a school, any school, roll up your sleeves and make it work. Good luck everyone!
