FYI the character Rollo was based on the Rollo that went to what is now France-Normans [northmen] and eventually the Normans that conquered the Saxons.

love this show but the Blood Eagle episode was so difficult to watch-the end that is. Started watching it bc my 11 year old wanted to see it-to preview it and got hooked.

PP, I'm curious, do you decide to let your 11 y.o. watch it? I keep thinking it would be so fun if my 11 y.o. watched it, but for me, the sex, and murder scenes are too explicit.

No, I didn't. He loves these type of shows and even a lot of the documentaries on History are very violent and full of sexual material but Vikings is so raw.

Did anyone catch it when they were watching the Jhoon Rhee commercial a few weeks ago? I thought that was a nice touch. (This post will only make sense if you grew up in the dc area in the 80s)

^^ yes, loved that and made me feel like they are really doing their homework

Except they don't even attempt to get the police car markings or anything else about "DC" even remotely correct.

The show kinda lost me when the neighbors met for the first time and the FBI guy introduced himself as an FBI agent working in counterintelligence. I mean, REALLY?!

I also think some of it is a little lame. I mean, their disguises aren't very good, at all.

Totally agree. The "Clark" disguise is so silly, I really can't believe Martha hasn't pulled off the wig yet. I think there was an article in the WaPo about that. Love Keri Russell.

I agree. With all the vigorous humping they do, she would be bound to grab his hair at some point.

She finally called him out on his hair. She told him that she loves his toupee and he should not be ashamed. Clark was shocked that she knew.
