+1 I hate when people apply their own situations to the entire city. I need a car to get my kid to school, metro/bus not an option. My streets haven't been plowed either. I am certain we will be closed tomorrow.

+2. I have to drive my kid to his charter (like everyone else who has kids there) so not having plowed streets is an issue.

where did you see OPM notice about gov opening at 11:30? I was just at OPM's web site and there was only the news about the gov being closed today. I need to work tomorrow and DH is a Fed, so I am really hoping the gov is closed if DCPS is closed

It was on the Washington Post Capital Weather blog page, but from further digging I think that is Maryland only and depends on were you work. SSA is 4 hours. I guess we'd better wait for the general closing announcement.

Just popped my head out the door before I go to bed, it's like a blizzard out there. Couldn't tell if it was actually snowing, think it was the wind blowing the snow around but it was white everywhere. Was thinking a 2 hour delay, now thinking they should close. That's the view on the Hill near Lincoln Park, no plows all day.
