| I think they are waiting for the snow to end to plow. I just shoveled my driveway and sidewalk (corner lot), and by the time I was finished the part I did first was already covered. |
Considering they closed for "cold weather"; I think they should just call this one, someone has got to get up and clean all around the schools and make sure they are warm and stocked with food. This one seems an obvious decision, and the last night midnight call was too late. |
| I just hope they can make the decision before 2am. I just heard at the radio a bunch of school districts have already decided to close. close or open, please let me know tonight ASAP so we can plan. I hate going to bed with the idea I need to get up at 6.20 to make lunch for my kids. |
Why not just make lunch anyway and then give it to them tomorrow at home if need be? Or let them take it to school the day after? How are you sleeping til 6:20 with kids anyway? |
| Capital Weather Gang is forecasting a 25% chance that DCPS will be open ... |

I've seen a plow, but I live on a bus route.
FX for just a delay... |
Good idea about the sandwiches, but I also hate going to bed not knowing how to plan tomorrow. They should be able to make a decision by now, only Arlington, Alexandria and DC have not called to CLOSE. |
|
At the very least a 2 hour delayed opening. I just walked to Wisconsin Ave by the Cathedral and it is still very snow covered. No signs of plows yet...I was actually surprised since I kept hearing about the 200 trucks out plowing today. So you can make lunch at 8:20 tomorrow. |
Why not sit down right now and map out 3 plans -- one if they close, one if they stay open, and one if they delay opening. That way, you can feel relieved that you'll know exactly what to do no matter what. |
| I live near the old Walter Reed off of Georgia Ave and haven't seen a plow. |
Capitol Hill, NE near the stadium and have not seen or heard any plows in my neighborhood. |
| No plows in Glover Park by Stoddert |
| No plows. Live near Dunbar HS. |
| Intermittent Plowing in CCDC. |
| No plows on my street on the Hill. Sigh |
