(4 Kings 2:23-24)

[23] And he went up from thence to Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, little boys came out of the city and mocked him, saying: Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. [24] And looking back, he saw them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord: and there came forth two bears out of the forest, and tore of them two and forty boys.

I guess Elisha sure showed those little boys! No more bald jokes ever again!

Clearly you want to hurt strangers. But just as clearly, we all can see that. This makes it extremely easy to ignore you and your random insults. So, you're not achieving your goal of hurting people. Precisely because you're so obviously a troll who needs to hurt someone, you're unsuccessful in hurting anybody.

Please, think about finding something to love--a friend or a puppy. Abusing strangers assuredly makes you a lesser person -- compare that to finding someone or something to love!

I can see that you're not ignoring me. My goal is to have people use their common sense.

So, in response to pointing out that some of the stuff in the Bible is not so nice (which PP agrees with, saying “some of it is bad”), I’ve been called condescending, abusive, mocking, insulting, hurting strangers, abusing strangers and a troll.

I’d say PP is focused more making ad hominem responses than supporting his/her beliefs.

Perhaps there’s a biblical verse that justifies this behavior, but I doubt it’s in the nice parts of the Bible.

Ahem. We are using common sense. Our common sense tells us that you're here to abuse rather than to argue. I'm not going to engage you any more.

I'm not even here to argue, but to present a rational non-devotional view of the bible.

And, Oops! you engaged me again - and accused me of abusive behavior again. To the poster who is supplying Bible verses -- got a good one for that?

I do hope others - religious or not -- are reading here to see how at least one believer responds to factual information about the Bible.

It's real easy to attack peoples faith when you believe in nothing. We can disregard Bible passages because the Bible isn't one book, but lots of books squished together. You'd know that if you read a few pages instead just of googling "worst Bible verses."

Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

People aren't engaging you. Most don't even bother to respond to you. The few who do respond to you are pointing out that you need a friend. Big difference!

I'll engage you! Here, read this thread about how online trolls are sado-masochists: http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/363029.page

That's funny - I keep getting responses by people telling me how they are not engaging me.

By the way -- I am not the bible verse poster; I'm the poster who responds to the person who is not responding to me because they say I'm condescending, abusive, mocking, insulting, hurting strangers, abusing strangers, a sado-masochistic troll and attacking people's faith -- all for pointing out facts about the bible. It begs the question: Who is the troll here?

Nice quote from Corinthinians, by the way. I wish more Christians took it to heart.

Wisdom 11:22. Despite my crisis of faith right now God knows I am here and he created me in love.
