PP with a father in a nursing home and is on Medicaid. This is exactly right. [/b]Medicaid does not run the homes. That said the ones that do accept Medicaid sadly aren't a nice place to end up.

Former NH social worker and wife of Nursing Home Administrator here. PP, I think you need to look harder. Many of the very nice homes accept Medicaid. If you are using this as an excuse to leave your father in what you consider substandard care, you are doing him no service.
