$20/ child is fair. The fact that they share a birthday and a party doesn't mean you can spend less than normal.
had a joint birthday party for our twins in preschool last year - we definitely found people were confused about what to do - got a range of two $10-20 gifts, 2 gifts totaling $20, combined single gift for $10-20, or 2 books. Even got two of the same board game from one family. I didn't really care (and wish we'd said no gifts).
I'd get two gifts unless I saw something really nice they could play together, and I'd spend $30-40.
Mom of twins (plus one 21 mos older). All 3 share bday and Xmas presents no problem. I'd say buy whatever you feel comfortable with budget wise and don't stress!!!!!

Two gifts but the same price as a normal gift you would give a child.
I have 2 boys (non-twins). Their birthdays are close together and everyone gives each child their own present. When we are invited to a party, each of my boys gives the birthday child a gift. Don't think twins and siblings are different. |
Adult twin here. All this makes me glad I don't have twins myself.
