I met someone at a party recently who moved 2 children from a prestigious private school to one of the city's best DCPS middle schools. They live in a wealthy area of the city that is not in-boundary for this school, but are renting a studio apartment that's in-boundary, and they use that as their address for registration purposes. The parent said happily, "It's a lot cheaper than private school!"

Hard to believe what people will do.

I don't have any problem with this, they are residents of the city 2X.
