CAtch the X2. It lets you off right at the corner...then it will just be a short walk up the street.

820 26th St. NE. Plus column: having the arboretum practically in their backyard.

Kipp will create a new high school at the old Hamilton School on Brentwood Pkway, and Two Rivers is creating another Campus at the former Charles E Yong school at 820 6th ST NE

While it is good that these buildings are going to use, it sucks that people who live in the area, and who would have had access to these schools and their facilities, will now have to join the lottery if they want to attend.

That should read "820 26th St. NE", not "820 6th St NE" And yes the former Young Elementary (not "Yong") is smack dab in the middle of Carver Langston

But you can't walk to it from the school. You'd have to drive up and around to the R St. entrance.

Well, if you're being specific, it's smack dab on the EDGE of Carver Langston. Because it's across the street from the golf course.

I certainly wouldn't mind. We live in Carver Langston!

True, but I would expect the school to still be able to make good use of that proximity. Hope so, anyway.
