I hear distant music in the middle of the night

Try to record it and see if others can hear it on the recording.

Though once this happened to me and it took me weeks to realize a radio was on, on low volume.

Lmao!!!

This happened to me too! It was a mosque alarm clock I got traveling abroad, it was going off for all the call to prayers! I kept hearing weird melodies so softly LOL. I thought I was going crazy!!!

OP, look up phantom music.

Some people hear music that is not actually there. It is a type of hearing disorder.

I was reading and didn’t hear anything until exactly 3:00am and it sounds like a really high pitched xylophone?

Update: It stopped after 18 minutes and started back up again at 4:00am but outside my door instead of outside my window

It's a hearing disorder. You are not crazy.

My MIL's house was empty while we sorted out her affairs. Her neighbor came over to complain about the music in the house. She wanted to know why we left music playing all day and all night. I googled this to find out if she was going senile, as she lived alone and I was a little worried about her. Came upon phantom music. Told her about it. She told her stepson, who researched it thoroughly.

This is correct. It's not exactly tinnitus, but a related disorder. It's not a big deal.
