Since when is Mila a nickname for Margaret?

It was good enough for Jack Roosevelt Robinson. Jack can be a standalone name.

When you're a whitey and want to seem hip and multicultural.

Mila Kunis is a Russian-born Jew. Her original name is Ludmila, shortned to Mila (Meelah) for convenience. How this relates to Bush's granddaughter, I have no idea.

I love the idea of naming your child after her grandmothers, I just don't get the Mila part. The PP with the Margaret Louise "Marlo" makes sense and is very cute, since it is a combination of the two names. I just don't think Mila is really a combination of Margaret Laura and it isn't a nickname for Margaret so it seems weird to me, like she wanted trendy and tradition at the same time.

Plus I think Margaret on its own is a pretty name and Maggie is a cute nickname. But this is just my opinion and since people discuss baby names here I wondered what other people thought. No need to call me a b#tch!!

Oh, I'm just so innocent!!

Snort.

She was born in the Ukraine, not Russia. And her name was Milena. Facts are SO inconvenient.
