Changing Undies - Bedtime/Morning or Both?

My son changes at night after bath, and that's the only time. I don't sleep in underwear and just put on a fresh pair every morning after I shower.

So sheets magically get dirtier if a little boy in PJ bottoms without underwear sleeps on them vs. if a little boy in PJ bottoms with underwear sleeps on them? How?

Once a day - after bath or in the morning. Some of us wear underwear at night and other don't.

But if DD insisted on wearing them at night for some reason, then we'd do a fresh pair at night and another fresh pair in the morning. I would not want her starting the day with 8-9 hours of funky underwear (people sweat and fart at night, etc.). Starting out the day with non-fresh undies seems gross to me.

We have our kids wear underwear at night under their pajamas or nightgowns. It's kind of slutty and uncouth not to.

The commando thing is freaking me out. I've been wearing cotton underwear to bed for most of my life and my kids do too. Unless it's hot as blazes and the AC is down, or well, you know, DH and I are looking for some action. For some reason I don't like the idea of DDs in nightgowns and no undies. Maybe I'll announce a new undie optional policy.
Seemed like a good idea to wear them, so you can just change the undies if anybody has a small accident

Well, I think not wearing underwear to sleep in is strange, so we'll have to agree to disagree. I'm just not big into the naked sleeping thing.

I'm also surprised at so many people who DON'T wear underwear to bed. Do you all just wear pjs without underwear or sleep naked? I sleep in underwear and t-shirt. DD usually sleeps in just underwear, sometimes with pjs if she's cold. To answer OPs question, 5 year old DD gets fresh underwear in the morning and fresh again before bed. She's not fantasic at wiping herself, so I figure it's worth having enough pairs for 2x a day to keep her a little cleaner. Underwear doesn't really take up a lot of room in the laundry...

I also sleep in a t-shirt and underwear. Never occured to me that if I put pj bottoms on, the underwear could/should come off. Anyway, I'm not wearing PJ bottoms.

DS gets fresh underwear at night, does not change in the morning and never, ever has dribbles. His control is better than mine. But he hasn't had two kids. I get fresh underwear every morning/after shower. Or as needed.
